Ted McMichael is a native of central Georgia, born and raised in Butts County.  Ted graduated from Monroe Academy in 1973.  After graduation, he attended Samford in Birmingham, Alabama on an athletic scholarship.  He later transferred and graduated from Georgia College with a degree in education and a Master’s Degree in Health and Physical Education.  He was in private business for nineteen years and returned to Monroe Academy in 2000 as an Athletic Coach.  He was named Assistant Headmaster in 2003 and Headmaster in 2005.   

Ted attends and is active at the First Baptist Church in Forsyth.  He and his wife Debbie have been married for 28 years.  All three of their children have attended Monroe Academy.  Their oldest son, Terry graduated from the University of Georgia in 2005 with an Accounting Degree, Lee is a senior at the University of Georgia, working on a double major, and Callie is currently a junior at Monroe Academy.
